Hey guys,

Im seriously considering fitting a 5 speed into my EF Futura
Does anyone know who will do the work in the brisbane area and also where to buy the parts from? ( would prefer a reco box )
What parts do I need?

Im guessing
Manual EF ECU
Gearbox
Clutch assembly
Cable
Pedal Bracket
anything else?

Any help and an approximate price would be very helpful

he also sells a clutch pedal kit so youd ont need to pull dash out to replace the pedal box

I don't know if the EF was different to the EA but I was able to use my stock ECU with just a wiring change.

do u mean change the whole loom that goes to the ecu?

I didn't do it myself, but the auto electrician wired it to think it's in neutral at all times. The idle was a bit funny sometimes but it worked.

any idea how much the pedal kit is?

I have called a few wrecking yards and none of them have any T5 boxes. Were there any differences with the EA-EL T5's?

I converted my old ea at home. The only problem was the car use to idle high and was a bit rough after i did it. I fitted the pedle box at home seriously not worht it when its like 50 inside the car and its the middle of summer.

Im gonna to to mal wood to get a manual fitted to the au, but does anyone else think his gearbox's are very expensive? He told me $3600 for a 5spd and $7600 for a 6spd thats a huge price difference between the two of them. Then fitting and buying all the parts would kill ya.
