Hi There,

I replaced my factory tape player with a cd player, and now i dont have the time in my car.

I did notice however, you can get clocks which fit in the... err... the place right near the de-mistors to the left. It says *Falcon* in fancy letters and its a kind of sleek triangle shape.

Anyone know where to get these clocks? Or if they do exist.

Go one better and get a Trip Computer. Then you get average speed, L/100km, instant L used, and the time!

You can get them at wreckers, if i had an EL one lying round Id give you my EF one.

Clock are a straight fitment on a GLi too. no wiring changes.
Trip computer requires a couple of wires to be added but its still easy :)

You might find the clock easier to track down. They were fitted to EF and EL Futuras and XR models. I sold one via the internet which ended up going for about $60 from memory (then again I also got $5 for a complete dash shell ) but you should be able to track one down from a wrecker at a reasonable price. Don't forget there were 2 different shades of grey with the EF/EL interior, so be sure to get the right one.

Im assuming you can get a trip computer to fit in the same hole???

Do you konw what would be great??? A trip computer which has the ability to tell the time also :)

Go the trip computer!! Then you get - Time, Date, Instant fuel consumption, Avg fuel consumption, Avg speed, Distance to empty, Overspeed alert and if you are sneaky enough to find it... stopwatch.

Yeah definatley get the trip computer. you will have to add a few extra wires but there is a guide on here somewhere. Do a search
