Just wondering, i've got an Ef Fairmont, with standard fairmont inerior. i want to upgrade and put the chrome inserts and woodgrain into the door panels, and wherever else they go. will stick to the velour trim though.
(i've already got the woodgrain piece around the shifter)
any ideas of cost on this?? and where should i go.
May I ask whereabouts you got the woodgrain surround for the shifter ? They're as rare as hens teeth from wreckers and as per usual, Ford want a very pretty penny for one hehe.
Emtech is your best option, otherwise scour the wreckers for nre door trims (as they won't sell you the woodgrain bits separately), then look for the chrome door handles (or get them new from Ford @ ~ $50 each). Seeing you already have a fairmont with rear elecs - new door trims doesn't seem like a good investment - I think fUSiON has recommended well here - good BFYB IMHO.
Hey i am not too sure where the woodgrain insert around the shifter came from. was in the car when i brought it. also came with the front grill in bonnet as chrome, which i also thought was pretty rare.
the previous owner was a rep. from some big company, im guessing he just wanted to add a bit of extra 'touch' to what is already a beautiful car, just like any falcon.
the insert around the shifter was in there when i bought it, as was the bonnet grill done in chrome, which i thought was also quite rare. the previous owner was a rep. from a large company. i guess he wanted just a 'touch of extra class' to his car!
No that pic is not of my car it was taken off that website listed and all the pics of the interiors seem to have blacked out buttons and edited photos, dont know why!
