Have a base model EF Falcon and have just encountered a electrical problem.
When Ignition is in the ACC position, the fan and demister can be turned on. Also the AC and AC Max can be selected (lights turn on).

Now when I start the car, the instrument panel lights up with no problems, but the fan, ac and demister all turn off (stop working). They work in ACC position but not in the RUN position.

I have checked all the fuse panel fuses and they are fine. Have no idea of what the problem is.

Any help would be great!

Also the wipers don't work and the radio always has to be turned on (it can't remember that it was on). Had a bloody hard time driving in the rain today!

Anyone out there?

sounds like a problem in the ignition switch.

normally it should turn off the accessories while you are starting the car , then put them back on when the key returns to the run position.

might be a dirty contact or loose wire in the bach of the switch.

if you have a test light you can check if the power is coming out of the switch itself, that will narrow your search down a bit.

Might be a body control module fault too, or its not receiving the signal from the ignition switch that it is in the 'on' position Start where 351 CID said
