EF Falcon airbag warning light

Hi all

My ef airbag warninh light has just started playing up

When the engine is started it flashes for a wee while then stays on

Do I just need to reset something or is it a dealer fix

Any help much appreciated

best to take it to a dealer.
Air bag isnt something u wanna be fiddling with.

could be as simple as the wiring plug has become disconnected

As EF mentioned dont be playing with it mate, could take your head right off..
Take it to the dealer ASAP last thing you want is that going off as your driving down the Freeway..

It's actually very common on the EF's for some reason. My EF wagon has the some issue, so does a few others that I'm aware of.
Mine started when I got a flat battery. Once the new battery went in the light played up. That was over 2 years ago (and another battery since when I left the lights on). Havent had cause to test out if the airbag still works though and havent been able to find out what caused it in the first place either.

I Drove to a ford dealer with the airbag off the car (was replacing steering wheel at the time) and the light was on
certainly good to know it detects that sort of thing

hey how r ya i have a bit of a situation i need help im a girl so i have no idea wat to do with cars so my airbag light is on so i went an brought a new airbag for the drivers side an put it in but the light is still on how do i get rid of it with out paying big bucks if i dont remove the light i can register my car?
