Ef Seats into Eb

im sure alot have done this (a green wagon comes to mind) although the new search engine doesnt work too well in 'searching'. the back seats are a straight swap correct? and with the front ones, are the two front bolts the same? i know that there needs to be a divider or something for the rear ones. i think its only the one bolt at the back closest to the centre console that needs modifying, and the outter one bolts straight on too is that correct? any help/info/ anything would be much appreciated :-)

anyone want ebII gli seats in sydney? pm me!

Re: Ef Seats into Eb

putting ef seats into a ed or earlier is resonably easier
two bolt holes stay the same the inner front (next to the tunnel)
the outer rear (next to seat belt)
the outer front rail on the drivers side ,the foot that bolts to the floor has to be removed from the seat runner its not welded it uses to press studs
the foot has to be rewelded to the seat track approx 10 to 12mm inwards
the same applys to the passenger seat
the front seats on the ef have wider seat runners

the outer rear rail will have no foot on it but will have studs on it these have to be ground off the foot from the inner seat track rear from your eb has to be removed on both sides this is where it gets tricky
the towers from the rear of the seat track have to be lowered 20mm
cut above the hole for the seat track cover and just below the top of the foot should do it if you dont do this the seat will sit on a angle any dramas

Re: Ef Seats into Eb

I've done this mod my self. Beware this is not straight forward. If your not handy with a welder or don't know of anyone who is, DON"T ATTEMPT IT. If you need some pics I can email them to you of the Leather EF interior that I have just finished putting into my EB II XR8.
I can sell you some excellent condition EBII XR8 front SAAS and rear seat if you want.
