EF seats into XF Seats

Hello Everyone

Just wondering if it is a straight forward job putting EF seats into a xf. I am finding that going from a ef Ghia to an xf is a bit of a downgrade in the comfy stakes, just wondering if anyone has done this?

Ive got a set of XG or XH buckets in the XT, I upgraded from XF ones by swapping the rails across. So you should be able to do the same with your XF.

Would that be the same with a XC as they share the same floor. So could i get a set of XG seat rails and bolt on EA or EB seats.

Seats

Thanks for the replys

Here is what I want to do. I want to install some EF ghia seats (with leather) into an xf wagon. So what I need to know is r the seats the same between xg-h and EF and is it just the rails that r different or is there mounting differences in the seats?

IIRC, X series seat belts bolt to the trans hump?
If so E series seats bolt to the actual seat and due to this, requires stronger seat mounts and probably frame etc,

I also think the shape of the floorpan is different, X series has humps on the floorpan where the rear seat mounts are, E series flatter, front bolts on E series bolt vertically and are horizontal on X.

So yo ucould possibly mount E series seats onto X series rails (don't know for sure) but the X series rail I don't think has the buckle mount?

Id imagine that you would have to put the EF/EL seats onto your existing XF rails because the EF/EL rails are different to the EA-ED ones and mount differently again. If your dead keen on it, any decent car seat place should be able to swap the rails over, it is the best way to do it, you get the new seats, and dont have to drill more holes into your car

THe rails swap over but you have to use the x series seat belt setup, ie bolted to the floor or the bulkhead in the ute.
But honestly those leather seats wont fit and you need to sell them to me :s6:
