biggrin ef trip computer

Firstly hello to all this is my 1st question in this forum and definately wont be the last.I purchased an ef fairmont about a week ago, its a 95 built car and the 1st ford I've had since an xf about 6 years ago.My question is about the trip comp, it only seems to work for the overspeed alert and when I hit any of the buttons all I get is a blank screen apart from a small sized time readout at the bottom of the screen?????Has anybody else come across this and what can I do to remedy it.
thanx in advance to any replies.

Welcome to the mad house. Don't really know what the problem is. These functions only work with the ignition on, hit the "search button" and a pointer indicates the function. Lets say 'average speed', push the search button till the pointer indicates 'AVGE km/h' and the numbers should appear where the clock indicator is.

cheers

Thanks for the quick reply Topghia but thats exactly what it wont do, it minimizes the time and date to the bottom of the screen but thats it!!!!!Is there a part of the loom or something under the bonnet that may be disconnected maybe by mistake by someone, any idea where it gets it's info from or is there anywhere in this forum that I can find a schematic on the loom concerned?????
Once again thanx for any help in advance

Re: ef trip computer

I don't know, I've never had to work on one, but hang around, someone else may help.

cheers
