Today while talking to a bloke from work about my XF i was lead to beleive that i could put a EL series interior into my ute without many mods, this sounded really appealing to me as i definatley like modern interiors better, but i was wondering if it was really possiable and how hard it would be to do.
G'day mate, I think your friend meant the XH, not the EL. The XH interior was a combination of XF and EA-ED parts as far as I can remember. Check one out if you get a chance.

The seats might go into the XF. The XH had the same seats as the EF/EL, but with different runners I believe. Unless Ford changed the XH floorpan to suit the E series seats, which I can't see happening.
Anyone else confirm this??

Low, Loud. How a Ford should be.
XH had EF/EL style Seats on XF runners, Modified XF dash with EB/ED functions (different headlight knobs, etc).
Also had the EF/EL style dash cluster in it! Seen many XF's with these dash's in them, look great, cause you can also do mods to the dash cluster where before you couldnt do it cause of the XF cluster (i.e LEDS, etc)
my 2c

but actually now come to think of it you might need to put the xh dash i as well to make it all fit but i'm not sure it's been like 6 years since we had an xf in the family

If your going to put the XH cluster in the XF dash, you'll need the cluster, the surround (with light switches), and the wiring adapter.
The looms are different from the XF to XH, so you'll need the wiring diagrams from both models so that you can solder the XH plug to the XF loom. Then it's as simple as swapping the surrounds and plugging it all in... I think. At least that is what I am halfway through doing with an XG cluster (EA).
