I did quite a bit of (read) EXPENSIVE playing around with the electric water pump set up on my xr8 sprint. While the performance benifits are there ,the pump works VERY hard to keep temps down in our hot climate. After a while it becomes very frustrating and not really worth the effort. Having said that if you do decide to fit one here a few tips. DO NOT use rubber adaptors supplied to reduce hose size, have stainless steel reducers made up. Run a restrictor in place of the thermostat(thermostat with guts removed) this makes a considerable difference to making the set up work half decent. You can remove the guts of the waterpump and bypass the pulley with a shorter belt and it does'nt slip. finally GOOD LUCK.
