An electrical challenge - XF digital guages.....

My sparky is wiring some EL twin thermos on to the XF,in place of the old clutchy, which runs 5.0 efi power.

He's having a hassle matching the digital guage (which has been re calibrated) to the fans. As the XF guage has no resistance (being a light digital display), he's having problems getting the resistance needed to operate the fans at temperature.

Any suggestios or past experience in this type of matter would be appreciated.

Why not just run a separate temp sensor for the fans and don't worry about the gauge.

Wish you where in perth so i could see your beast!!

Got any times for your car??

Back to your problem however, I'd say the same as AlbertM. Get a seperate temp sensor and use that.
