The A/C in my 2000 Excursion occasionally blows out of the defroster vents (by the front window) instead out of the dash vents like it is supposed to. Nothing I can do with the dial (ie: moving it to the floor designation, etc.) helps. When the truck sits for a while - maybe even a few days, the A/C will blow out of the proper vents on the dash. It is hard to tell what scenairo makes this happen, but it appears to be heat related.... Any advise on how to repair this?
There are probably 3-4 of them. They have vacuum lines attached to them with a rod that connects to the appropiate door.
