Can anyone help please? I have A 97 Explorer (GB spec) for which I have lost the remote central locking/alarm/immobiliser fob. I have managed to locate a replacment fob but now need to program the alarm for the fob. The alarm/immobilisor are activated. Does anyone know the procedure for getting the alarm/immobilisor into programing mode (a sequence of turns on the ignition key?) At the moment I have a car that is unusable and my local Ford dealers seem unable to help! All help greatfully recieved. Thanks.

According to the owners manual for your vehicle.... you need to go to the dealer to have them program it.

I found the info for you:
If it has memory seats, program the remotes on order #1,#2,#3,#4
Switch the ignition from off to on 5 times within 10 seconds (ending in 'on' position.
doors should lock and unlock
press ony button on first remote
doors should lock and unlock
Press any button on second remote
doors should lock and unlock
continue this procedure for up to 4 remotes
Switch ign. to off
doors should lock and unlock
test remotes.
(Book says if procedure doesn't work try the steps again)
