Hi All,

A while ago due to a little incident, my RH Headlight was replaced, but not my left one. The Left has gone rather yellow on the inside from someone using a 100W globe in the fitting previously, so polishing out the yellow is not going to work. I have to option to pick up a clear LH headlight at a good price, and the question I have is how do you go about removing the headlight? Does the bumper need to be removed to remove the headlight, or does it just come off by removing the plastic shroud under the bonnet and removing indicator etc?

I havent yet attempted this, just after some info before I try.

4.9 EF Futura

I assume it would be the same for a Fairmont as it was for the Futura... but the front of the EF Futura is solid so cant access headlight bolts (may be able to access thru grill on Monty?)

The bumper had to come off the Futura - but i'd get a second opinion on Monty. It's pretty easy to remove. Main bolts are under the front corner indicators (remove the indicators and the inner wheel arch guards, need a long extension bar to get to the bolts). There's also a smaller bolt between the indicator and the inner guard - poke your head in there and you'll see it. Also need to remove all the screws holding it to the trays under the engine.

Think there may also be some bolts on the front, underneath the headlights. I forget, lol.
