Just a quick note for those interested, I finally got round to going to Ford, and it's the same for all three cars: Bridge ECU pins 91 and 64 with a 6500 to 7600 ohm resistor. 91 appears to be the power supply wire, while 64 is the sensor return wire. The computer calculates which gear the car's in based on the resistance of this circuit: I have provided the resistance for Neutral.
If I ever get around to starting the AU conversion into my car, I'll let you all know how the computer fooling goes, if you like, since I've got a manual. Hope to have it finished by the 5th for this cruise, but I'm not sure I will :)

i take it those pin numbers you mentioned are for a EF ECU, because from my short knowledge, the EA and EL ECU (very similar apart from smartlock, bbm) has only 60 pins, opposed to the EF and AU ECU having about 100 due to the coilpack arrangement.
Correct me if im wrong but:
-The EA-ED's have 60 pins
-The EL had 80 pins due to no termofans and BBM
-The EF and AU had 100 pins due to coil packs, fans AND bbm
-And ****nows how many pins the BA has!
If you provide for D (Drive) won't that make the computer think the car is permanently in drive? ain't that good?
