I paid like 800 bucks for an alarm system at the ford dealership that supposedly has a button to shut off the engine or whatever... The problem is I lock the thing then it stays locked for a good five minutes I come back around 30 or 25 minutes later and it is usually always unlocked. what the hell is wrong? what should ive had the truck a couple days now...

honestly dont know. but the remote has a black and gray checkered pattern. the buttons are... top left {locked padlock} top right{unlocked padlock} center is a small F in a circle, bottom left {unlocked trunk} bottom right is an {*} but bigger... hope it helps its all say

Hmmm, tough to say without knowing what type of alarm it is. More than likely it is a wiring or programming error. I would bring it back and have it looked at.
My alarm has a setting where it locks and unlocks automatically. Once you (the remote) get 20ft away from the car it locks. When you go back it unlocks as you get near. I think its called passive mode. By the sounds of your remote you dont have that but can be a setting on the brain of the alarms. But like I said, I dont know what type of alarm it is so im just speculating. Nothing written on the back of the remote?

yea i hope its a wire problem.. im gonna take it back to the dealer that installed it
