Ford Escort 1999 - Passenger window
Hi all
Just bought a 2nd hand Escort 1.6 LX 1999 (LHD) but, after just a few days, the already agonising passenger electric window decided to go on early retirement, and failed to close. Tried several times, in both direction just in case it needed momentum :-), but the mechanism seems to have reached the end of its days.
All the rest of the electricals seem to work fine.
Has anybody had the same or a similar problem, and has advice on how/where to fix it, and how much would it cost?
Also, does anybody know of a good, honestly priced garage around North London?
Booked the car in next week for service, cam belt change and MOT, and have been quoted 360 quid.
any help/advice very welcome!
