Hi all

Joined the forum to ask for some advice, as I'm not sure where to turn. I have a November 2003 Ford Ka, and have started having problems with my heater.

A couple of weeks ago the heater and a/c suddenly stopped blowing any cold air - it was literally like a sauna! I booked it into a garage, but of course, the day before it miraculously seemed to sort itself out. However, driving down the M1 at 2am last night I realised it would now only blow cold air! No matter what I did to the heater, a/c on or off, it blew icy air - great stuff on a frosty night. I made it to my boyfriend's in one piece, but only just - kinda hold to hang onto your wheel when your fingers are purple and numb!

Any ideas what could be wrong / what needs to be done to fix it / how much it will cost? As a young female (and a dizzy blonde one at that!) garages always try to take me for a ride -I've been conned by a Ford Dealership (tried to fit a new clutch to fix a smell that a new pollen filter solved) and a Nationwide Autocentre. I really can't afford to spend money that I don't need to, and would really, really appreciate some advise.
