XR8 Lamah

Hey all - it seems to be my week of asking questions !

Anyhow, I've been looking for a new ignition coil ( I think mine is fading fast ), and given the oem price of like $270(!), I'm thinking aftermarket is the way to go ( plus I can get more ZAP :) ).

Anyway, I've been a little confused on my search - lots of places talk about an "E-Core" coil. As far as I can make out, they are just referring to a design style, but is anyone got any certain info on it ?

Also, I'm pondering on the Ford MotorSport M-12029-E351 Coil. Buuut, It has a description of:
"High energy E-Core coil for CD ignition systems. For maximum performance from the M-12199-E351 ignition control module. Accepts Ford E-Core coil connector. Low primary resistance. Heavy-duty construction.
Compatible with stock and performance ignition module."

It says its compatible with Std ignition systems, but I'm still kinda worried - anyone know or suggest whether it will work with a Stock EL8's ignition system ?

If its a factory TFI ignition, I would just go with a crane or msd coil.
Should only cost around $100-$130
