mate I do industrial air con and look at it much the same on cars, exept on a smaller scale. Firstly if its like a grinding sound of leaves its probbably right down near the fan motor itself. (under the glove box l/h side) normally. Dissconect the main fat plumbing and the leaves should be within reach, if not the problem (leaves ect) are further up the plumbing. Turn your fan on put your ear as close to the a/c plumbing(duct) as you can eg:in front of stero ect without striping the interior of your car dissconect the duct leading to the leaves. Otherwise dissconect the fat plumbing near fan motor and blow ******ds towards vents with a compressor.
