Spent all day steam cleaning the carpet and seat but cant kill the stench. Sprayed a complete bottle of Mountain Mist Air refreshener in there but still cant lose the smell.
Any suggestions?

Go down to your local BP or Shell servo that has a carwash...they usually have a vaccum with the option of selecting a fragrance with it...we did my mates carpets with the fragrance and the whole car stank of lavender for months! They have 3 or 4 different ones to choose from
im sure youll be able to stomach the lavender rather than the current smell! :-)

Hmm . . . Used to know a guy who had a subaru forester. Anyhow, some chick spewed in they back of the car. Bottom line was he never got rid if the smell Luckily (?) he got t-boned by another chick the next year, and car rolled, writing it off . . . no more smell ! :)
Seriously tho, depending on what was spewed upon, I would be considering changing that part ( depending on the feasibility of course ). If not, do a search out there on the net - look for stuff that will eliminate the smell - NOT just cover it for a while and let it settle in longer in the background . . .
Yep, Fabreeze or the new Maguire's odour remover spray.
Maybe pour a few stubbies of beer inside the car. That should mask the smell, but could get you locked up new time the breatho boys pull you up....

Well if you wanna shampoo it, hire a britex from the super market, they usually have an attachment for doing your furniture, so you can use that to do your car :0)

I did put something here, but it vanshied, I think
Use some vanilla essence in hot as you can handle water & rub into the area with a cloth, Just dab the area with the cloth & Depending where it is I wouldnt make it too wet....The vanilla smell will go quickly taking the other odour away with it ....
Normally I would use only a few drops but this sounds like a bigger job than normal.......so maybe a 2 tablespoons say to about a small margarine container of water
This has worked many times for me when the kids have been crook on the carpets .....cant see why it wont work for a car interior
If its not in the carpet .....well maybe you will have to pull the door trims off ........its amazing where that stuff can get
