Just openned the headlight assembly of my car today and found heaps of rubbish inside, from sand to leaf to spider. Sprayed some glass cleaner and give it a flush under running water, I was suprised the amount of crap coming out, water comes out is just as black as used motor oil. Dry it up and fit it back on the car, the light is so much brighter and cleaner. I reckon it's worthwhile to do this before winter, just an hour job and you can be sure that you've got at least adequate light intensity in front of you even under adverse weather.

i dont know why more people dont clean their headlights on the inside. makes the car look a lot better too with clear glass instead of being cloudy like most of them.

yeah I agree I did this to my EA, used a thin film of silicone on the rubber when putting it back together and it never leaked again, nice clear headlights

This weekend Im hopefully going to attack my EF headlights, rub them back and polish them up as they have a slight yellow tinge about them, damn plastic

I dunno how to bust into my EL Headlights...

my yellow tinge wont go away. Wet and Dry didnt work, polish by hand failed

Will have to get the angle grinder and buffing pad out me thinks.
