These headlight globes that are supposed to be 30% or 50% brighter. Are they as good as claimed? I am shortly driving from Perth to Brisbane and would like more frontal light. Without buying spotlights etc.Cheers

Definately worth the money. They produce a whiter brighter light. Just put a set in the TE.
Cost $39.95 from Super Cheap auto for the 55/60w bulbs that go in the low beam position.
These things were about $60 a set when released a few years ago

they are definetly a more whiter light but i seriously doubt thay are producing 50% more light.

They are better. I am using the Artic Blue one's and the light is much wighter, not sure wheather they claim to be 50% brighter or 50% more usable light?

Yes they are much better and also much whiter, They are about $12 each for H4 Plus 50's. I use them in all of my cars and think they are good with light being about equivilent to 100w Headlight globes but without the extra current draw

Definitely a good move - they may well not be 50% brighter but they were a huge improvement on the BA stockies.

Yes they will they are just like normal H4's but with better stuff in them.

Has anyone tried those BMW globes that have the blue tinge to them? I've heard they're meant to be good.

I haven't seen the BMW globes but I have fitted Plus 50's to both my main (hi/low) beams and driving beams and am very impressed with them. Interestingly, I dunno about all Falcons, but mine came with Plus 30's fitted from the factory (they were Phillips brand - didn't say Plus 30 on 'em or anything but I looked up the part #'s on Phillips web site and they definatley were), even so, going to Plus 50's still made a significant gain in brightness, whiteness and light range/throw. I also put some Cool Blue parking bulbs in to match up - the original ones looked very orange but the Cool Blues are much brighter and whiter and match the look of the Plus 50's.
