confused Heater Blower Motor

Does anyone out there know this one?

I have a 2001 Focus Zetec 1.6 5 Door

The heater blower motor will only work on speed 4!

apart from being too noisey, A/C won't work because the blower doesn't work on speeds 1, 2 & 3.

Re: Heater Blower Motor

The blower resistor is probably bad. It is located behind the left side of the glovebox and is commonly known to fail.
