Hey all ... Yup. .. you guessed it, battery died in friends EL, and he has the standard head unit.

Need to get the sercuity code for it, is anyone here able to help?

Here are the the serials for the stereo.

Serial number : 5686514

Ford part number: 94DA-18B862-BC

Model Number : FCT015A1

Big bar code serial number (seperate sticker) : 81200F5G21568651

Any help would be GREAT! .....


Phoned FORD, but they don't seem to want to help, Is there someway of getting the code from the serial numbers?

FORD will help, just hard to get help over the phone, as they like to check ownership of the radio before just handing out codes, try a few different Ford dealers, and get a little stroppy if need be.

All you need to do is go to a ford dealer and make sure you bring your car registration documentation. The people in the service dept should be able to give you the code then.

Yep, thats what I had to do, took them about 30 seconds and they did it for free. Now, because I'm on their computer, I can ring and get it if I ever need to!

been there done that.....and as I can never seem to find the bit of paper with the code on it that's in my shed somewhere, I too have since put my name on my local dealers list with no probs ringing them for the code.

Good advise guys.
