I hear a few people saying they have illegally dark or "limo" tints on their cars. How do you go about getting this done? I'd love the windows on my EF to be alot darker, I think it looks awesome.

you ask the guys at the place you choose to get the tint done and there no more to it.

Yeah most tint shops will do it.
unlikely, but may cause hassels with insurance if u make a claim.

Just about every tint shop will go darker than legal as it's readily available, there's a few different grades of darker tint, my mate had T15 on his wagon and at night time you couldnt see in, apprantly it was what the ambo's have

You will probably be asked to sign a waver so that the tint shop isnt held liable if you have an accident due to you not seeing out of ya car etc etc

and you probebly wont recieve a recipt , so your "lifetime" warranty is as good as dunny paper......

When I enquired about darker tint they basically told me that they will do it but don't want anything to do with it after. In other words no receipt, no warranty. Looks very cool though!!!

Okay, whilst darker then legal make look cool, have any of you guys considered the POSSIBLE reasons behind these tints being illegal? If you cant see out of your car properly, then its not safe, so i dont see why the places even offer darker then legal. Anyways, sorry to put sour note, but i wanted to state my opinion.

Have you ever been in a car with illegal tint smokeEA? I have and can say that vision is fine. Illegal tint is on my list. :D i'm a born rebel though. Fook tha poooliiiice.

Thanks for your comments guys, I guess I'll just have to work out if its worth the risk of not having a receipt or warranty to get darker windows. How much can I expect to pay for darker than legal tints?
