Hey all
I have Recently purchased an ED Futura. I am keen on upgrading some of the Interior a little. As I don’t know too much about fords, I’m not sure what parts are easy to install. The specs on the car I have are 4.0I, Power Steering, ABS, Smart lock, the better of the standard stereos (6" speakers in the door) and cruise control.
I went to the wreckers the other day to see what parts look like they could go in my car. What I saw was the Ghia has a different Dash, the digital climate control, Power windows, and the Trip computer (Where the Clock is).
What I wanted to know is if anyone else has tried any of these mods, weather they are worth installing, and what work is involved in do them. Also if you know how much you think I should pay for the parts from a wrecker.
If you have any info on the above mods I would much appreciate some help.
I am fairly adept at using a soldering iron so that is no problem.
The trip computer would be the easiest and most worthwhile mod. From memory I can't think of anything that would be different about the instrument cluster, unless you're talking about an EA Fairmont Ghia.
