Which later model seats for the EA?

Hey there,

Which later model front seats fit into the EA... do EF & EL ? I quite like the drivers seat in my EL and the rails look pretty similar. Would they bolt straight into my EA?

thanks,
jez

I believe they changed the floor pan, so they DO NOT bolt straight in, you have to swap the rails form the EA seats onto the EF/EL seats, or get brackets made.

Do the EA rails bolt straight onto the EL seats instead? This would just as easy I assume.

I understand they are welded, so an angle grinder and welding will do the trick, so hardly an easy job so to speak, drop walkinshaw a PM, or look up threads he has posted, you should find the answers.

What about EB XR and fairmont ghia seats?? A lot more support than the EA seats, and I'd expect that they would be easier to fit than EF/L seats.

Have you thought about DA/DC LTD seats as an option? They bolt in ok and all you have to do is hook power up to the drivers seat as the passenger one plugs in to the drivers seat. And they are very comfy seats and electronicly six way adjustable with manual lumbar support.
