LTD vs Fairlane - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I've been told that LTD's (P5 in particular) actually have longer doors than XA-ZG's. I'm hoping this isn't true because I want to put a P5 interior in my XB, factory tint fast glass, door trims ect. I always thought the extra length was only in the doglegs, like the fairlanes. If any LTD owners know for sure, I really need to Know this as I have a black leather Interior lined up.

I don't know about the p5's, but in a FC/FD/FE LTD the rear doors are slightly longer than XD/XE?/XF falcon rear doors. I am fairly sure in these models the ZJ/ZK/ZL doors are the same as the LTD ones - slightly longer that is.

I'm pretty sure that those P5/P6 LTDs do have longer doors - they were 10" longer wheelbase than the Falcons (the Fairlanes are 5" longer)
There is 5" in the dog leg and another 5" in the back doors..

There is also a join in the roof of those LTDs due to problems manufacturing such large panels in one piece I believe...
