Re: MPI loom into stock xe
Are you looking at putting in a Bosch MPI per what was standard in the XE, or the XF version (which is EECIV), or one out of a E series ??
If the Bosch version - it should all plug together.
If EECIV - some plugs are different, particularly the engine loom to dash loom connectors which are located under the brake booster, also, the EECIV connector will be difficult to pass through the hole in the firewall - take care, but it can be done.
If E series MPEFI - don't know - have not done this (yet).
If you are going to do the XE EFI or XF EFI just get all the stuff needed from a donor car. If doing the XF EFI into an XE then only the Ford manuals will provide sufficient info to get the plugs rewired.
Oh, and you will need to add protective diodes onto the starter and aircond circuits (little blue plug things you can get off any XF-EL and the plugs are available new from Narva or Utilux).
