Hello, I'm having some problems with my 77 Merucry Marquis. It's been modied quite a bit from stock... the big things electrical wise are dual 12" electric fans and some high output H4 headlights. The OEM alternator was rated for 60AMPs... when I put the fans on I noticed that the alt couldn't keep up so I got an upgrade kit wich bumped up my alt to a 105 amp. That worked OK until I did the headlight upgrade. Now, the car can't run the fans and the headlights and keep the battery charged. I keep having issues with the battery running almost dead and also I can see looking at the voltmeter that there's a big drop in voltage whenever headlights and fans are going.
This is a 1G alternator, and it's externaly regulated. I obviously need something beefier to run everything but I'm not sure where to look/what to get. Preferably something that doesn't break the bank though.
Anyone here know of an option that might work for me?

Did you fit relays when you upgraded your lights?

Had to. The OEM breaker kept triping because the circuit was designed to run old sealed beam lights and it couldn't keep up with the amount of current the new lights were demanding.
