So, I've got a Tioga 24' Motorhome with a 1996 Ford E-350.. I go to get this beast smogged.. It passes everything but the stupid MIL/Check engine light due to an OBD communications failure. I'm hoping you guys could help me out with a few troubleshooting ideas to figure out what the f**k is going on, if it's just a blown fuse or if my aftermarket radio is screwing with something or if I'll need to replace the ECM.

Help is much appreciated, brothers.

Have you checked the fuses inside and under the hood? Here's the pinout info on the OBD connection. OBD II Connector Pinout We'll help you even if you don't swear.

Yeeup, all the fuses are fine.

If you think it's your after market radio , disconnect it and see if it fixes the fault .

Did you check for power and ground per the pinout?

Argh, disconnected radio and when i checked the fuses, i checked the power and ground "per pinout." Still nothing.
