Old SPorts steering wheel for my EF

hi guys

I'm on holidays now so a little time to play around with the Car

I have had this in my Garage for a while,
I do not know where its from, but can anyone help me?

Will it fit my EF ?
Just for fun, if its not too difficult to install?
Would this fit on my EF ? ..

Would anyone know where it is from?
On the side it sais "made in Italy"
and the brand is O.B.A

Hmm.. it worth anything?!

Thanks

Yeah ditto - Factory is actually nice if you ask me. I wouldn't sacrifice the SRS airbag for something sportier IMO. Speaking of which, anyone got an EF/EL Fairmont leather wheel for me ? ;-)

Cheers,
Steve

I wouldnt even recommend the Ghia's Leather wheels !
The Leather on mine has been rubbed down from constant use, and looks sickly, Not very nice !

I have seen the EF LTD/EL GT Steering wheels, and they look much much better, with both the wood and Leather trim on them, but they cost around $600 brand new !
I love the look of em, but not THAT much !

Cheers
Matti

If you're going to fit a sports wheel on the EF mate, don't fit that one. No offense, but it look like it came out of an 80's BMW and wouldn't look good on the EF.
Go to your nearest auto accessories shop and just buy one.. you'll most probably also need a BOSS kit to fit the wheel. What ever you do, don't get one with chrome or woodgrain, they don't match the interior of the EF, unless you have chrome or woodgrain.

I seem to recall hearing something about it being illegal to fit another steering wheel to a car that has an airbag (unless the new steering wheel has the facility to accomodate an airbag as well).

Besides, that wheel is butt ugly!!!
Stick with your current one, mate.

Dave

Yeah, I have heard the same thing. Trust me the airbag will come in very handy in an accident

Your car wont pass rego with a aftermarket steering wheel that replaced a 'abs' steering wheel

and damn, thats one ugly wheel.. do graffiti on your existing wheel, it'd still look better then that one!

It wont fit anyway, the EF has a different boss to that wheel. I know where you can get cheap leather wheels (black, dark grey and perforated black which is standard XR) to suit ef-au with airbag. Price is about $60 i think.

PM me for details...
