hey,

i bought an optima battery in april, the problem is i left my car door open for no more than an hour (therefore the interior light was on) then i tried to start the car and it was dead. One week later went for a trip to the snow 3hours driving, most of the time with high beams on tried to start the car the next day, dead! any ideas ?

has it got water??? Is there a car alarm on it with a backup battery siren??If these are ok ,you have a dud battery

it hard cell, no alarm,

i thought it could be the alternator but having the door open with just the interior light on for one hour should drain that much out of the battery just wondering whether anyone else has had the same problem with an optima battery.

Optima battery good stuff.I would check the alternator.If that is fine go back to were you bought the battery maybe a dud.Optima yellow top has got to be the best battery on the market.
