ive tried to paint the dash and plastic with one of those spraycans for vinyl/plastic/dash/etc. it comes out great but the durablity or the paint is lowsy it scratchs too easy ... i tried multiply coats and even using a plastic primer thats was recommended by the paint guys but its still crap what can be done????

i have never used them cans of vinyl spray to paint my dash surounding.. I just used a normal can of paint.. firstly i preped the surface with prepwash to get any grease and shit off the plastic, then primered it, then put about 2-3 good coats of paint on it, then 2-3 good coats of clear over it, my dash turned out fine..

man just on the plastic wash down ,scrub with turps,metho,acatate like stuff ,and if it a very smooth surface then just prime with plastic primer then use vinyl paint over or get a spray gunn get some enemal and add a product called flexaid and you paint right on . fixed ,,

i painted my dash vents etc in my laser turned out great. I washed all vents in soapy water, dried thoroughly, sprayed with plastic primer, then used a can of touch up paint from automotive shop. It looks great, and doesnt scratch off.
