ok fitted NL Fairlane doortrims to my NC, and i wanna wire up the mirror knob.

anyone actually done the wireup?

on the knob on the doortrim there are 7 pins, and on the actual looms coming from the mirror there are 8 wires - just wondering if there is a double-up power or earth or if im gonig to run into problems wiring it up.

EDIT forgot to add i am keeping the EB Mirrors

anyone be able to tell me what colour wire is for what.

(sorry if this sounds hella confusing but im tired and bout to go to bed.......might edit it tomorrow if required lol)

MADNC_8 - i have been meaning to ask the same question yesterday. i noticed extra wires when i went to do it.

I have done this conversion and will take a digital photo of the wire colours from NA loom to NL switch for mirror operation and put photo up tomorrow.

awesome mate. the mirrors both work properly?

why is there 7 pins on the switch and 8 wires from the mirrors? is there a double up power or earth or something?

ive got (swiped

) the plug and a little bit of the loom out of an EF so i can wire it all up

Yes, both Mirrors work with this mod.Here is a diagram,I hope, as this is the first time I have attached a file.

with many thanks to torpa for the diagram i have, i will be doing the mod on the weekend.
ill redraw the diagram a little and post it, as well as pics of the wiring as im doing it, up on probly sunday.

if anyone is intending to do it, get about 10cm of the mirror loom from the switch plug back, this will enable you to cut the plugs of your existing EB mirror wiring and wire up the switch plug.
