ETA-60L

Howdy,

Dont know if anyone else has had this prob, but atleast once a week my (2004 XR8) front passenger wont unlock with the remote or the button on the lower dash. Can take up to 10 goes for it to unlock but i dont normally have that much paitience.

No problems when opening it by the handle which i resort to most times.

Iv had the door trim off about 4 months ago to put my fully sick splits in but this problem has only occured in the last 2 months.

Anyone else had this problem / heard of this ?

sounds like it would be electrical fault.

you didnt damage a wire somewhere when you put your speakers in did you..
even if a wire just got sqashed or kinked , it can fail later on.the wire could be broken inside the plastic covering , can make it hard to find.

other thing it could be is a faulty actuator /lock motor in that door.

It would be the actuator
If you take it out and pull the cover off the gears, you will most likely find its broken.
The gears inside are just small plastic ones and it doesnt take much to break them.

They arent cheap either, but that should be covered by warranty?

Thanks for your help guys, ill check those things out. Hasnt done it for over a week now, but least i know what to look for.
