I have installed a trip computer in my EL GLI Falcon.I followed Matti's instructions on his Ford Modification Website.Problem is at night when I turn the headlights on the LCD blacks out completly.
Funny enough after its blacked out.when i use the brakes.indicators,demistor button or use the high beams the LCD will come on and then black out straight away.I can drive around all day and the LCD will be OK.Anyone got ant suggestions for a fix.

Maybe you connected the wires wrong.

matt and myself did it first on my car before the doco went up, and we did it roughly too and i havent had any problems at all....?

Maybe as J said, check yoru connections again, did you also try to change the colour of the lcd maybe?

I went back over all the connections and couldnt see anything wrong.Tried a few suggestions from Matti and they didnt work. Got the shits with it wacked it all back together and you wouldnt believe it,now works properly.I have no idea what ive done,and im not going to pull the dash apart to find out...hehe.
