Every morning when i turn my 2000 Ford Explorer (v8) on, the gas guage light is lit, and also the Oil Pressure guage is at "L" which it is when your engine is off.

After about 5 minutes the gas guage light goes off, and also the oil pressure guage goes to the middle of L and H, which is where it is supposed to be.

ALastly, my truck will harldy run over 80 to 90mph, it accellerates fine, but you can floor it and not get more than 85mph.

Any help is appreciated.

Check dash earths re fuel and oil gauge. Also clean battery connections.

Re slow top speed; check/replace fuel filter and air cleaner to start with.
