Question on EL dash into EA
Ok, Its time for me too get that crappy old style EA dash out of my car and
get a new lookin dash in!! Got a few questions before i get at it.
Has anyone done this before? Should I replace the entire loom over? If i do,
wont i have complications with BCM and ECU conflictions?
I have brought the EL manual and have looked at the differences between models. It seems i can get around just swapping over some looms and not the entire loom. By doing this however, I wont have BCM functions such as diming. Apparently the trip computer uses the BCM too so i wont have this function. Will the instrument cluster work without the ECU? What else should i look out for?
