Hey guys, JUst wondering if anyone has removed the rear seat bolsters in an EF before, I've heard that the striker pin can be unscrewed, well...ive tried with a big assed pair of vice-grips and the thing aint moving, anyone had any experience with this?

ah... simple removed the seat base, then u can see the screw holding the bottom in.
it then is sitting on a clip, u need to pull it up and forward to get it off the clip, once its off the clip you just pull it sideways off the striker pin.

vice grips are no good to pull those pins out. you need something with more leverage like a big shifter or preferably a ring spanner with a screwdriver through the other end for even more leverage if required. EF might be different to EA-ED but you need to pull the pins out if you want to get the bolsters back on without bending the crap out of them.

i've never taken the pins out in my EF, i've had the side boulsters out about 5 times.
1: takin off crap seat covers
2: experimenting.
3: put on new seat covers.
4: getting to rear shock towers
5: putting EF Ghia interior in
they go in/out without any hassles.
