Hi all,
This has most probably been done to death before, but Ive heard that if you have have work done to your car, exhaust, k&n filter etc, you can disconnect the battery for a specified time and it resets the computer to factory default and then relearns the new setup over the next 100ks or so. My car is an AUII XR8 220. Does this work? Is there any neagatives, Is there any danger? What can go wrong? Is it worth it?
I await your suggestions.

maybe you could try reseting it - it might work a little better.

No dangers at all, only benefits. Also if you want the best performance, realy flog it around for the first 100km or so.

Yes with the ford PCMS you can unhook the power from them for 5 minutes and it basically resets the PCM to where it thinks it has not been driven at all. You can then either Flog it as some say or pamper it. I would drive it like i stole it

My mate does this after every mod to his XR8 & says it helps heaps.He said it sometimes seams to take a few days to feel different tho
