i have a 2004 mustang gt, i noticed that the reverse lights were not working one day, so i changed the fuse and right when i turned it back on and put it in reverse the new fuse burned out instantly. i have talked to some friends, and they say that it is probably a short but i need some help finding were the short could be. please help. thanks!

have you fitted any gear( sterio amps ,etc ) in the boot lately .
a squashed wire or a screw through a wire is pretty common.

na i havent messed with the radio at all. What do you mean by the BOOT? but no i havent touched the radio, or messed with any or the wiring.

OK... i guess you are in america.

the BOOT is that normally empty space between the back seat and the tail lights that you guys call a trunk.

people often install their amps, etc , there and in the proccess manage to damage the factory wireing loom behind the trim panels.

if the car is an `04 model , wouldnt it still be under warranty.
take it back to ford and tell them to fix it.
