i was able to score the other day a Gizzmo dual stage shift light, it only has 3 wire to hok it up (12v +, 12v- & tacho) but im tryin to find where to hook the tacho lead up to. apparently i need to find the tacho output, or somethin that sends the signal to the tacho. anyone know where it might be?

goin in a ef fairmont.. i changed it to a manual little while back so though t a shift light might be a little usfull now

Not sure which wire specifically but:

If you can get your hands on a wiring diagram from a maintenace manual, there should be a wire from the computer (or the TFI / coil) which goes into the tachometer as a signal. (The tacho should also have a voltage + and earth) If you can find that wire, splice into it

Sorry I cant be more specific, but ive still got the good ol' fashioned points in my car.

just got it sussed, theres a lead that goes to the tacho from the comp, (found it deep inside the workshop manual haha) so yeah, just have to tap into that and all is good.
