I have a EL Fairmont Ghia and lately the central locking has been playing up
If i hit the door lock button on the dash it sometimes goes up and down repeatedly then after about 10 seconds it locks as normal the same thing also happens when you hit the remote button when outside the car.
its a intermittant problem and somedays it wont do it others it will sometimes it happens once a day othertimes no problem.
All the doors are shut..
Any ideas???????

Dancing door locks are a common problem - there have been a number of threads on the topic. Mine were caused by the knob mechanism binding and the knob not going down far enough, so it would pop up again. Re-aligned it all and works fine now.
