Ok I took pictures of the Mystery Box today.

If anyone knows what the hell this thing does let me know.

its in my EBII S, under the cup/coin holder behind the power window switches.

I traced the loom, it doesnt goto the trans or doesnt have anything to do with the power windows that i can see.

it is screwed too the Centre console bucket via 2 screws.

Cruise control is what it is, same as my EA, except mine is under the dash :0)

Hrrm interesting. The car has ABS and No Cruise. Hooked up.

So all i need is the wiring loom. for the cruise and i got it.

Maybe it also controls ABS so was needed even without cruise control ??, not sure on that though.

Unless anyone can confirm 100% I am right, I can disconnect mine and see what happens, I dont have ABS only cruise control.

The circuit diagrams in the factory manual show no link between cruise control and ABS so it seems you have a bonus feature.

That's pretty interesting. I'd say call Ford with the part number and find out what it is.

yep will do on (monday). if it is for cruise. where is the servo/cruise motor located normaly.

Its for cruise control allright. MY ED Ghia has it too and when you hit the on button this unit makes a loud click and the "cruise" button on the dash lights up!

Sweet. I almost have Cruise Control. ALMOST.

The Big Silver box is there. the plunger is on the brake pedal. and there is a fuse in the fuse holder saying auto CC 10 AMP.

im guessing i need loom, servo, vaccume hose, and cable from servo to throttle.
