If you can hook up a test light in a Hot-in-start wire, start the car, and if it stays on as you release the key, then it's probably the barrel. If not, pull the starter apart and check for any abnormalities.

Learn from other people's mistakes. You won't live long enough to make them all.
If there's commotion coming from the passenger seat, and nothing but earth going round and round outside the windows,.......then everything is not as it seems!
The only time you have too much fuel, is when you're on fire!
