Sunroof

dunno whether this should be in here, or the interior section, it is kind of fits both, however I would love a sunroof fitted to my ED, how much would this cost, how good would it be, for example would it be as good as a factory set up? and where can I get it done in brisbane?
I would like it to be as factory as possible. Any ideas?

I also priced one up for my wagon

The Holandia glass was around the $3000.00 mark, there is a steel version available but this will cost more because the roof will need to be painted.

I personally would get a new one fitted, yeah you can buy one from a wreckers but what sort of guarantee will you get that it is not bent or seal properly. I hope your wreckers are a little bit more careful with the way they store the wrecks - there's been a couple of times where I've found a nice sunroof only to find another wreck stacked on top.

EDXR6WGN - It is possible to fit these sunroofs to the wagons but because the roof contour is different to the sedans, the installer will need to modify the frame (bend it to suit the roof) I saw an AU wagon with one and it was a very nice fit.

Cheers

I would like for my wagon a forester sunroof they are about 900mm long ,I know the forester roofs almost flat but it would be nice to let all that light in the wagon.

cheers,
I don't think there is too much difference between the turrets of the E series models - so you would expect a sunroof out of an EA to fit an EL. Ford always used the Hollandia brand and was fitted by Tickfords not the factory.

Can you do it yourself? - Jeeze it would be hard for me to make that first cut and take to the roof with a nibler. But seriously, if you had everything out of the wrecked car it probably wouldn't be that difficult - but I've never really seen one up close to say for sure.

Regulations - don't know? but you would think there would at least be an Australian standard or ADR on them.

EvilEA - $800.00 / 1500.00 would that be for a fully integrated tilt/slide roof or an aftermarket model that slides above the roofline (Hollandia makes a model like that too)
