Tacho

Hey people
just got me an ea....second one...
:D

1990 s-pak
185k on the clock
straight as body
engine just recond (runs sooo smooth)
4 spd auto
cost $2k
im thinkin this is alright hey..... well im happy

annnnyways back to the point

the tacho seems to be either intermittent or take a while to start working(havent driven her much yet so not sure)
is this a common prob? ie is there one particular wire that comes loose?

Sometimes on my ghia dash, the tacho needs a slap on the top to kick start it. There was a thread on this earlier and it appears a common problem. I dont have this problem on my ea tacho tho so maybe its only a problem with the digital type dash?

Nope, the same problem exists on my S pack and a few others I know of too... Very common problem unfortunately

Mine does it very rarely. I suggest you try the slap method and if that doesn't work then go looking for loose connections.
