hi ford funsters..i got a question....how hard to put a tacho in my 93 xf ute.......or would i be better off trying to fit an XG dash/cluster surround thats if they fit and have the rev counter......i also notice on the drivers side lower dash in mine has the cut out thing for the smart lock....thanks

you should be able to pick up an xf-spac dash from the wreckers for under $100

this will give you speedo, tacho, AS well as digital oil, volts, fuel and temp displays.

make sure you get the oil pressure sender as well , it just replaces where your oil pressure switch was and uses the same wire. (new sender around the $70 mark....)

or even better than the s pack one (as mentioned above) go for the XF Ghia one like the one that i have in my ute digital everything things flash when they are low/high has a tach thats good enough digital speedo looks cool ass mine cost me $100 off a mate who owns a ford wreckers

I have changed my XF GL cluster to the Digital cluster and I tried removing the old Oil sender , maan what kind of tool can use to get it off.. its some kind of 'round' thing that if it wasnt on so tight i could turn it with my hands,

the new pressure sender has a standard bolt fitting on it- its just getting the old one off

XG cluster's do fit, but are a lot more piss farting around... believe me, I'm half way through doing mine. Just go an XF Spac cluster. They plug straight in.
